Work great
I personally had zero issues with install. I have a 2021 FXST softail standard Harley Davidson. These Forward controls went together very easily and lined up with the bolt holes in the frame with no issue. Only grip I got would be the brake side linkage on the forward controls. In my opinion the linkage put together should have been at least 1/2” to 3/4” shorter on length as the are adjustable. Mine is adjusted all the way in and I am getting a slight rear brake squeak from the rear rotor and I am maxed out as far as adjustment goes. I’ll figure something out as I’m pretty savvy for not being a professional mechanic. Other than that the build quality is great, looks killer!!! And the placement for myself is perfect. I am 6’0” without shoes and with boots maybe 6’3”. These forward controls are soooo much more comfortable than the stock mid controls but I get it. To each their own. Some rider’s preference would be mid and I have never tried forwards until today and it’s so much better. Build quality is okay, main mounting bracket on bother sides is 6061T aluminum and imo should have been steel, everything else’s in 6061T aluminum is just fine. And tbh these controls are pretty damn good for the price no joke. It sucks Harley wants $600 bones for forward controls and if you can find them from other companies expect $1000+ which is crazy!!!! The quality on these controls are pretty damn good and the bolts are high quality except they are Metric and not Standard SAE, if you can live with that this is without a doubt best bang for buck. I really should have made a YouTube video I could link to the install, but pictures will have to suffice!!! All in all I rank these a solid 7 out of 10. Quality of the aluminum could be better, bolts should be standard and the installation instructions are terrible 100%. But if you have some common sense you’ll figure out the installation easily! I’d suggest putting each side together first and then mount to the bike, anyway the pics are of my 2021 softail standard FXST Harley Davidson!! - Matthew B
